West Valley Community Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. But not all charitable organizations are created equal.
We recognize there are many worthy charities to which you might entrust your valuable donation dollars. Unlike many charities, not $1 given to WVCFP is spent on salaries or wages because 100% of work and management of WVCFP is carried out by volunteers.
Donations are vital to an organization such as ours. Last year we fed 25,390 people which represented a 73% increase from the prior year!
A box of basic food items to feed just one person for three days costs approximately $8.83 and $17.17 for a family of six. Milk and eggs are the most requested items, but at the Pantry those items fall into the “luxury” category. Occasionally, we receive milk and/or eggs from one of our contributing sponsors so then our patrons have those requests fulfilled.
With your support, we will continue to provide for our neighbors in need and do our best to make things such as milk and eggs more than just a luxury!
There are many ways to donate and we are grateful for EACH and EVERY dollar.
