WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Every organization says that and means it.  Volunteers are essential to any organization. West Valley Community Food Pantry is unique because we could not serve the community without volunteers. 100% of the people who work at the pantry are volunteers.  Yes, 100%.  Not one person is paid a salary or wage for helping at the West Valley Community Food Pantry.

HOW MANY VOLUNTEERS DOES IT TAKE?

How many volunteer hours does it take to run the West Valley Community Food Pantry? Each month, many dedicated and devoted volunteers serve an average of 700-800 hours to ensure the West Valley Community Food Pantry can help provide for the needs of people in our community.

WHO ARE OUR VOLUNTEERS?

As a charitable organization, there are specific guidelines we are required to follow.  Therefore, we have an Executive Director as well as Board Members all who volunteer their time to make sure the pantry operates within the guidelines set forth by the IRS and State of Arizona.

In addition to the board, there are approximately thirty dedicated people who are integral in ensuring the mission and vision of the pantry is honored.
